The Fleur Room, opening at The Moxy Hotel’s new Chelsea location in March, will be New York’s highest rooftop bar! Located a whopping 35 floors above the iconic Flower District, the lounge features unparalleled panoramic views of the city, which are made even more spectacular by the retractable floor-to-ceiling glass windows that encase the space. The Fleur Room also houses glass chandeliers that resemble giant water droplets, ornate floral décor by Putnam & Putnam, a copper-clad bar, and a massive disco ball that hails from the heyday of Hollywood nightlife—originally belonging to the notorious 80’s club Vertigo.
The Fleur Room is the brainchild of nightlife impresario Angelo Bianchi (who’s curated quintessential NYC hotspots like The Beatrice Inn and, most recently, The Blond) and undisputed nightlife operational experts TAO Group. The space is a bit of a departure from TAO’s usual ventures (Marquee, LAVO, PH-D) as it offers a more intimate, yet no less engaging, affair. As the crown jewel of the Moxy Chelsea, the Fleur Room will inject new life into its Flower District location, bringing downtown personalities such as Angelo, DJ Mike Nouveau—a stalwart of the Meatpacking District—and Antica Pesa’s Francesco Panella several blocks up for one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment experiences.
