Las Vegas may have dominated Nightclub & Bar’s Top 100 list of the highest-grossing nightclub venues in the US, but Los Angeles was no slouch either and took six spots. With Hollywood at the eye of the entertainment industry storm, LA attracts some of the world’s biggest celebrities who they to party somewhere, right? We’re not saying you’ll spot your musical crush at one of the below establishments, but there’s probably a good chance.
Coming in at No. 19, Create Nightclub ($15-20 million) prides itself on being the city’s best spot to see the industry’s hottest EDM DJ talents, as well as the best up-and-comers. West Hollywood’s Abbey Food & Bar is known as the “Best Gay Bar in the World,” making it no surprise that it comes in at No. 21 with $10-15 million in revenue. With its “everyone’s welcome” attitude, the nightclub is a favorite among celebs, including Kanye and Kim K. The last to break the top 50 is the Avalon Hollywood ($10-15 million) at No. 27, known as one of LA’s most historic properties. The old theater first opened in 1927 under the name The Hollywood Playhouse, and it was here that The Beatles put on their first West Coast performance in 1964—not to mention The Rolling Stones and The Jackson 5 getting their starts in the venue as well. Now called Avalon Hollywood, the venue still boasts amazing acoustics and hosts Rolling Stone Grammy parties.
The Emerson Theatre, known for its burlesque performances and prohibition-era style, comes in at No. 53 with $5-10 million in revenue. No. 56 is Playhouse Nightclub, and finally at No. 59 is Greystone Manor, with both venues pulling in $5-10 million.
