Well there go our New Year’s resolutions to lose a few pounds. DineL.A.’s Winter Restaurant Week is here and the two-week, bi-annual foodie event features special menu items at more than 300 Los Angeles area restaurants. Occurring January 19 through February 1, attendees can ventures through 14 days of prix fixe lunch and dinner menus prepared by hundreds of acclaimed LA chefs.
The long list of this month’s participating restaurants includes a wide range of cuisines and fine dining spots like a.o.c, The Bazaar by José Andrés, Black Hogg, Blue Plate Oysterette, Border Grill, Café Gratitude, The Corner Door (home to Eater LA’s Best Bartender 2014, Beau du Bois), Lawry’s The Prime Rib, The Restaurant at Mr. C Beverly Hills, RivaBella, Sotto and the ever-inventive Scratch Bar. And repeat DineL.A. diners will gladly welcome newcomers to the feast, including Alimento, Butchers & Barbers, Connie & Ted’s, Gracias Madre and KazuNori .
Diners can choose lunch menus for $15, $20 or $25, or can plan a night out on the town with dinner options priced at $30, $40 or $50 per person. These are indulgent bargains, particularly at such hot spots such as Boa, Fig & Olive, Ford’s Filling Station, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, The Hungry Cat, Jar, Katana, Lucques, Mr. Chow and the beautifully-redone Hakkasan Beverly Hills.
Many chefs are also creating special dineL.A. menu items that are new this year, and pricing existing menus at 15 percent off, hopefully tempting diners to be adventurous and “eat better” this winter. Some patrons might be curious to try littlefork’s Smoke Pork Belly and Duck Rillette for the first time, while others may find it tantalizing to explore new dining scenes across LA County including Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Studio City, Calabasas, Long Beach and Downtown.
“We always try to find ways to give our dineL.A. customers a memorable experience, so we are thrilled to be working with the many wonderful chefs and restaurants to see the unique dineL.A. dishes that many will be debuting,” said Stacey Sun, Director of dineL.A. “We want to encourage diners to ‘eat better’ in the New Year, whether that is returning to a favorite restaurant or resolving to try something new.”
