Breaking into today’s business community can be challenging, especially if you are a new professional looking to build your contact list from other industries. With this in mind, Project Ethos — an outlet for emerging fashion, music, art and lifestyle brands known for its events — has created a night for those looking to connect with other business professionals. Networking Nights, a first for the firm, will be a series of free multi-industry events to connect with some of their most diverse and coveted contacts.
Kicking off its first night on June 18 at Rush Street restaurant in Culver City, special guest speakers Manoj Shah and Pankaj Raval from The Fashion Law Group shared on ‘Growing Your Business When You're Low on Funds.’ Throughout the rooms, digital billboards featured live Twitter feeds giving attendees an outlet for expressing their excitement over the event. The billboards also allowed entrepreneurs to showcase their brands in the spotlight. To ensure exclusivity and reliability, invitees were carefully screened.
Adding to the evening, lively music was expertly spun by DJ Aaron Colbert and guests were treated to giveaways. Included in the items were B&E Soap and Scrubs, Kristen Dorsey Designs, Rollasole, Pavan Liqueur and more in brightly colored totes from Mochila Bag Addixion, valued at over $200 each. Vendors also displayed a variety of goods from footwear to jewelry to artisan sugar scrubs and more.
"Project Ethos seeks to create innovative experiences at our events from LA Fashion Week to industry mixers such as Networking Nights. Our multi-faceted events engage attendees with interactive appeal and exciting environments,” said Executive Vice President of Public Relations for Project Ethos Brianne Bear. “We strongly believe in the value of face-to-face communication, an art which is so quickly disintegrating with the increase of our digital world. The event Tuesday night was a huge success with business professionals from a variety of backgrounds attending. Stay tuned for more!"
Project Ethos held their first event in 2005 at the historic El Rey Theater in Los Angeles and was open to both the public and industry individuals. Over the years, the company has continued to create more ways to connect professionals and has held more than 50 large-scale productions from Hollywood to San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Arizona. From its connections, designers have gone on to be in stores and on the Bravo TV show Project Runway, while bands have gone on to the Grammys and hundreds of paintings have been purchased. With its new networking series, they hope to continue their success in creating more opportunity for emerging artists.
