In an effort to rank the best of London’s hotels, spas, restaurants and nightlife, Luxury Travel Intelligence has just released their annual London Report. Over the past few months their team has compiled a list of the city’s most exquisite and luxurious spots, ranking everything from boutique hotels to Indian food. This year a few past favorites fell from the ranks while new up-and-comers topped the list.
The new Beaumont London was named Luxury Travel Intelligence’s best boutique hotel, nabbing a top spot in its first year. Located on Mayfair Square, the five-star property offers one-bedroom suites, Turkish-inspired baths and a number of fine dining options. Claridge's was awarded overall best hotel in London due to their five-star service, luxurious suites and famous Afternoon Tea that’s been a tradition at the hotel for over 150 years.
Due the rising popularity of informal dining, Fera was the only fine-dining restaurant to make the list. Located in Claridge's, the Michelin-starred restaurant is known for its organic ingredients and farm-to-table cuisine. Casual restaurant Sexy Fish made the list for the first time this year, catching the attention of the judges shortly after its grand opening with a menu of fresh seafood and Asian fusion flavors. Best Indian food was awarded to Benares, a Michelin star restaurant in the heart of Mayfair.
When deciding on the best London nightlife, Luxury Travel Intelligence avoided the ultra-exclusive bars and instead focused on more accessible and modern nightclubs. Dance clubs Charlie and Toy Room both topped the list this year. Artesian and the Connaught Bar also made the cut for their award-winning cocktails and captivating architectural design.
