Never got your Hogwarts letter? Don’t worry, you can still attend the magical School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. On December 3, the Warner Bros. Studio in London will be hosting a holiday dinner inspired by Christmas scenes from the Harry Potter film series. Guests can dine in the Great Hall, which will be decorated with real movie props, and enjoy a two-course dinner, canapés, desserts, drinks and of course, butterbeer. Each “student” will also get their own wand (in case they forgot to pick one up in Diagon Alley), and have the option of cosplaying in their best dress robes.
After dinner, guests will be given a private studio tour which include visits to a number of popular sets including the Gryffindor common room, the Weasley’s kitchen at The Burrow and Platform 9 3/4. The evening will also include a visit to the Hogwarts castle model used in the film and a stroll along Diagon Alley. Afterward, the night will wrap up with music and dancing.
The event was sold out almost as soon as it was announced (Ravenclaws probably planned ahead), but keep an eye on the Warner Bros. website as it’s rumored that more dates may open up soon. Tickets cost £230 (approx. USD $348 each or about 46 wizarding Galleons) a steal considering this may be the best chance for Harry Potter fanatics to live out all their wizarding fantasies. No word yet on any character or celebrity guest appearances, but we have confirmed He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will not be in attendance.
