Verde & Co., the bespoke delicatessen in the Spitalfields area of London opened by Harvey Cabaniss nine years ago, pays homage to the UK city it is located in. The shop has long been a local favorite, keeping the original storefront and offering an elevated selection of the fruits, vegetables and fine foods that the area was once known for. Having trained as a chef for 12 years under Fergus Henderson, Cabaniss partnered with owner Jeanette Winterson, and together they created a shop that offered fresh food curated from the best delicacies all over the world.
Aside from offering global rarities, Verde & Co. also serves breakfast, lunch, chocolate and coffee. Home to some of the best coffee in the area, the mornings are often filled with people coming in just for an espresso, while the afternoon sees customers stopping by for seasonal foods like pheasant soup, suckling pig with balsamic onions salad, and bresaola with sunblush tomato sandwiches. Those looking to create their own concoctions at home with specialty meats, cheeses, vegetables or fruits, can order them through the store. Ingredients will be sourced specifically for each person, so as to offer the freshest, rarest foods in London.
