London’s luxurious Berkeley Hotel — a celebrity haunt with guests like Madonna, Gisele Bundchen and Leo DiCaprio — has just unveiled the Bamford Haybarn Spa on its 8th floor rooftop. The spa is designed to “bring the essence of the English countryside to the heart of the city,” and was created in partnership with Bamford Organic, the UK’s premier organic beauty brand. The spa will now be the focus of the hotel’s unique rooftop space which features a swimming pool, secret garden and state-of-the-art gym.
British designer Spencer Fung designed the Bamford Haybarn Spa to “reflect the spirit of a walk in the country fused with the contemporary elegance of The Berkeley and stylish Knightsbridge.” Its rustic touches and a clean neutral palette create a chic and relaxing atmosphere. Treatments at the five-star spa use the Bamford Body Collection, created with naturally-sourced and certified organic ingredients.
The new spa’s hallmark treatment is an 85-minute Bamford Body Signature Treatment combining shiatsu, meridian and Swedish massage, reflexology and yogic breathing to revitalize the whole body. Bamford Haybarn has also created a new massage exclusively for The Berkeley using hot and cold jade stones.
Meanwhile, The Berkeley’s Secret Garden has been planted with jasmine, lavender and rosemary, referencing both the ingredients used in the Bamford Body Collection and fragrant candles lit during treatments. The new spa will be open to both hotel guests and the public.
