Caesars Palace Las Vegas is currently renovating the hotel’s original Roman Tower and turning it into the upgraded Julius Tower. The $75 million remodel is a part of the resort’s $1 billion investment to reinvent itself. The new tower will house 587 rooms and suites, featuring the best in modern décor, technology and luxury. Caesars expects to welcome its first guests to the updated rooms by January 1, 2016, just in time for the 50th anniversary of the property.
“As we enter into our milestone golden anniversary year, we continue to reinvent Rome—and Las Vegas,” said Gary Selesner, Caesars Palace regional president. “We set the standard of luxury when we first opened our doors almost 50 years ago and are proud to continue to raise the bar for excellence in every way. Caesars Palace has a well-earned reputation for providing guests with impressive accommodations, unmatched culinary offerings, and the best in gaming and entertainment. With this renovation of our original tower, we are proud to continue this tradition and can’t wait for guests to experience the all-new Julius Tower.”
Inspired by Julius Caesar, the tower is intended to represent the heart of the hotel’s “Las Vegas Empire” and offers easy access to the casinos, clubs, restaurants, attractions, spas and amenities. They’ll also give guests a comfortable reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Vegas with soothing neutral palettes, soft freesia yellows and relaxing Aegean blues. The rooms are meant to be a retreat with amenities like Beautyrest Bouvet Island mattresses, 55-inch televisions, a specially-curated mini bar and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.
Designed by Michael Medeiros of KNA Design, the room features an oversized, custom-upholstered headboard with bronze-framed mirror panels and a custom-made chaise lounge inspired by a Greek Klismos chair. The minimalist bathroom incudes a floating, double-sink vanity, stone shower with glass enclosure and custom-lighted vanity mirrors, a modern interpretation of an iconic columns of Caesars Palace. Even the room’s artwork combines photographs of Roman statues with artistic, hand-drawn costumes meant to “inspire the notion of a Caesars Palace-themed Vegas show girl.”
The Julius Caesar opens January 1, 2016, with rooms starting at $149 a night.
