Food and wine lovers have even more epicurean entertainment to look forward to, as Vegas Uncork?d adds seven new events to their weeklong line up from May 9-12, 2013. The culinary exposé, sponsored by Bon Appétit, is celebrating its seventh birthday this year with an indulgent celebration of fine wine, gourmet food, celebrity chefs, master sommeliers, and brilliant mixologists. This year, aside from the new additions to the schedule, the week will also include two events back by popular demand, driving the total up to 28 unique experiences. Thursday, May 9th
Master Series Dinner: Gordon Ramsay
Chat with the charming star of Hell?s Kitchen as he hosts and prepares a meal in his Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace. We just suggest you don?t set off that infamous temper. The evening will begin at 7 pm; tickets cost $275 a person.
Master Series Dinner: Nobu Matsuhisa
Get the chance to meet and interact with internationally renowned Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The master of Asian cuisine will present an intimate dinner at his brand new restaurant in Caesars Palace. Afterwards he will mingle with guests over exotic cocktails. The event will begin at 7 pm; tickets will cost $275 a person.
Master Series Dinner: Old Homestead
The iconic steakhouse has been in service for over a century, making it a symbol of America’s culinary history. The Master Series will offer a reminiscent look at American cuisine and the success of the restaurant, all over timeless dishes and wines beginning at 7 pm. Tickets are $195 a person.
Master Series Dinner with Michel Richard: It Takes Two
Famed Chef Michel Richard and his team of James Beard Award winners will display the cuisine and techniques that won their restaurant, Central, the title of “Best New Restaurant 2008.” Located in Caesars Palace, Central’s menu is known for its French take on the American classics. Beginning at 7 pm and ending at 10 pm, price for admission is $160 per person.
Master Series Dinner: Spice Market with Bobby Flay
Sample the Southwestern cuisine of The Food Network’s Bobby Flay at his restaurant, Mesa Grill. The restaurant is located in Caesars Palace and serves some of Mexico’s most prime tequila; it has also been awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award. Tickets cost $250 a person.
Friday, May 10th
1842 Poolside with Michael Mina: MGM Grand
Enjoy a sneak peek and taste flavors from the soon-to-open PUB 1842 with the creator himself, Michael Mina. The location was once his Seablue restaurant, which closed August 2012. The new concept will focus on craft beers, finger foods, and burgers. The event will run from 12 pm to 2 pm with tickets costing $115.
Saturday, May 11th
Vodka & Caviar: Red Square, Mandalay Bay
Savor gourmet caviar and authentic vodka with the Light Group’s Executive Chef, Brian Massie during after-hours at Russian-themed restaurant, Red Square. The restaurant features such Russian staples as a frozen Ice Bar featuring a vodka vault and a unique list of sexy cocktails. The event begins at 10 pm; tickets cost $160.
Joel Robuchon Dinner: MGM Grand
Indulge in a six-course menu created by highly acclaimed, Master Chef Joel Robuchon at his namesake restaurant. The restaurant is located in the MGM Grand and has won a number of prestigious awards, including a AAA Five Diamond. The select guests at this intimate meal are sent home with a signed cookbook and stomachs full of French delicacies. Seating times are on the hour and half past the hour between 7 and 8:30 pm. The cost is $595 a ticket.
Sunday, May 12th
Across The Pond Beer Brunch: Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill
Experience a traditional English Sunday Roast at the new Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill. The knowledgeable Executive Chef Jeremy Berlin served under Ramsay as executive sous chef inside the London West Hollywood restaurant. The venue is quirky and very “English,” with uniforms meant to mirror the British punk scene. The roast takes place at 2 pm and the ticket cost is $195.
