Seabourn Announces Exciting Guest Speakers for World Cruise 2013

Seabourn luxury cruise line is gearing up to set sail for their 116-day World Cruise next year and they decided to take some extra passengers with them: A line-up of distinguished guest speakers. The noted guests to join the voyage runs the gamut from comedians to astronomers to destination experts, covering subjects such as literature, foreign relations, geography and science. They will be sharing knowledge of their field and giving insight into the many travel destinations along the World Cruise.

“This is a very exciting group of speakers with personalities and portfolios as diverse as the ports of call the cruise will visit,” said John Delaney, Seabourn’s senior vice president, marketing and sales. “Many of them specialize in the regions we visit, and their knowledge will undoubtedly enhance our guests’ cruise experiences and entertain them on their way around the globe.”

The Seabourn Quest will leave on its World Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 6, 2013 and end in Venice, Italy on May 3, 2013. The initial line-up is below with more potentially to come. Visit Seabourn.com to learn more.

Rita Rudner April 27–May 3: American comedienne, actress, screenwriter, author. She has starred in numerous television specials and performs live in the U.S. and U.K.

Christopher Buckley March 26–31: American political satirist and novelist

Dr. Norman Caisse January 16–30: NASA engineer and astronomer who participated in a variety of space exploration projects.

Dr. Roderick A. McDonald January 6–16: Professor, author, Caribbean and Latin American historian.

Dr. Michelle Craig McDonald January 6–16: Professor and author of Early American, Caribbean and maritime history.

Dr. Adrian Kerr April 8–21: Author and historian in ancient civilizations.

Farhana Qazi April 12–23: International relations analyst and expert on Middle Eastern political conflicts.

Military History/Foreign Relations

Captain Peter Martin, Commander, Royal Australian Naval Reserve February 22–March 2: One of Australia’s few titled Masters and Commanders; maritime expert and foreign affairs scholar.

Col. Ralf Vargas April 23–May 3: Retired U.S. Army officer, former Chief of the NATO Situation Center, specializing in European Affairs.

Dr. Lawrence Blair March 1–23: Adventurer and documentarian whose acclaimed TV series Ring of Fire highlights his10-year exploration of Indonesia.
