It looks like San Jose del Cabo will be getting a new luxury resort just in time for the holidays and it’s certainly a looker! Opening in December, the high-tech Mar Adentro by Encanto has been designed around art and architecture, promising to provide a relaxing, cultural atmosphere in which you never have to leave.
As only the second hotel Mexican architect, Miguel Angel Aragonés, Mar Adentro will feature 205 guest rooms, suites and villas, as well as permanent residences for purchase. The complex promises to have everything you could ever want within its boundaries, making it so you only have to leave if you want to. “Our goal is for each of our homeowners and guests to forget their responsibilities and let us take care of them,” says Aragonés. Sounds good to us!
Designed to resemble boxes floating on water, the buildings closest to the sea utilize glass for reflection, while those set further inland are made with concrete to play off of the desert. The suites have been furnished by Italy-based Poliform and include super cool tablets that allow you to customize your experience, from the lighting theme to the temperature. You can also use the digital system to request additional amenities or to purchase items from the on-site shopping plaza. The Wi-Fi will work all over the property (including the beach) and the “smart” air conditioners will shut off when you leave windows and doors open for a prolonged period of time.
Another unique offering is the complex’s “musician in residence” program. Through a relationship with Hotel Café in Los Angeles, talented artists will give acoustic performances for guests. Though Mar Adentro hasn’t given any hints as to the type of artists we can expect, it is safe to assume it will be a fantastic lineup of up-and-coming singer-songwriters.
The property will also include two oceanfront pools, a private beach club, a private butler and private chef upon request, four restaurants, a cinema and gym, a beauty center, plenty of meeting rooms and a luxury holistic spa.
Prices range from $620 to $2,850 a night.
