We love our wine. Red preferably, white definitely, and even some bubbly here and there. What better way to way to show your love for a deep rich cabernet than by attending the 24thAnnual Boston Wine Festival, which kicks off tonight at the Boston Harbor Hotel with a Grand Opening Reception.
While this event is sold out, there is an amazing line-up of events that run through March where you can decide which cabernet you like best at the Battle of the Cabernets, enjoy a New Orleans style jazz brunch while enjoying a Cajun-influenced buffet prepared by Chef Daniel Bruce or sign up for a seminar and learn about the wines from wineries like Frog’s Leap that will be served with dinner.
The 12-week long series features everything from intimate wine dinners to extravagant brunches and receptions, each hosted by some of the world’s most distinguished winemakers. For this year’s festival, Chef Daniel will introduce Boston to some of the top wineries in Italy, France, Portugal, Chile, Oregon, Washington and Sonoma and Napa Valley. Some of this year’s featured wineries include Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, Domenico Clerico Winery, Opus One, Peter Michael, Frog’s Leap, Diamond Creek, Cheateauneuf du Pape and Cakebread Cellars.
Whether you are a novice to wine or an expert oenophile, now is your chance to meet with, learn from, and sip vintages with some of the world’s best winemakers.
