Forty 1° North, the chic, contemporary marina-side luxury hotel on the water in Newport, Rhode Island, is celebrating the season in signature style with a Glowing Winter Nights package and New Year's Eve Ball. The exclusive offerings are designed to show that Newport (favored resort of the Astors, Vanderbilts and their ilk during the Gilded Age) is more than just a summer destination.
The Glowing Winter Nights package will be available through April 2013. The package features two nights in a Premium Water View guestroom, two in-room spa treatments, a gastronomy course and tasting at the hotel’s demonstration kitchen, a Specialty Seafood Tower from the Raw Bar menu accompanied by a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne, nightly movie screening of winter classics, and two tickets to the Newport Skating Center.
Rates for the Glowing Winter Nights package start at $1,375 based on double occupancy. And to ring in the New Year, the hotel is hosting a New Year's Eve Ball with a James Bond theme. Located in the hotel’s elegant Gallery space, New York City's DJ Eloy will be providing the soundtrack for the secret agents and their Bond Girls. It's up to you whether you prefer to emulate the Sean Connery era, or the more modern Daniel Craig films, though the event will, of course, feature 007‘s signature Vesper Martinis and a midnight toast to welcome 2013 in style.
Located in the heart of historic downtown Newport with the famed harbor for a backdrop, Forty 1° North is close to Bellevue Avenue’s legendary mansions, the International Tennis Hall of Fame, shopping, galleries and museums.
