In the latest travel news, commercial cruise liner Voyages to Antiquity recently announced that it has increased its number of dedicated single cabins to 12 percent of its entire inventory of accommodations. Dedicated-single cabins are available in a variety of categories, including inside to deluxe outside with a balcony. Luxury cruise ship operator Paul Gauguin Cruises is offering two seven-night Tahiti and the Society Islands voyages this December. Both cruises offer savings of 50 percent off and include airfare from Los Angeles. There is a cruise on December 22 and on December 29. Apparently, business is good for luxury river-cruise specialty company Viking River Cruises, as the company announced the addition of two new ships to its fleet for 2013. The announcement of the firm’s placement of an order for two Viking Longships was made Friday, July 20, 2012, from its Los Angeles offices. Each will have 95 staterooms. Viking Cruises is now set to add eight ships in 2013, and have a total of 14 by 2014.
