If you have been paying attention to Peyton Manning lately, you probably noticed his continual shouts of "Omaha!" during the Broncos vs Chargers game on January 12. Well, he drummed up so much attention that the city decided to donate money every time Manning shouted their name during the Broncos vs Patriots game that took place yesterday.
According to CBS Sports, Omaha announced they would donate $600 to Manning's charity foundation for each shout-out. The official count ended up being 31 mentions, leading the state to give $24,800 to the PeyBack Foundation (which helps at-risk youths by helping other programs provide leadership and growth opportunities). Apparently, Manning also shouted works like "bear" and "grapes," so we'll see if anyone else steps up to make some donations on behalf of his half-hazard shouts of excitement.
