The Renovo Coupe, the flagship luxury car from Renovo Motors, was officially introduced to the world today at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and is being hailed as the "first all-electric American supercar." With its 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds, 1,000 foot/pounds of direct-drive torque, and its super fast charge time of 30 minutes (making it circuit-ready), we know we're not the only ones excited for the Renovo Coupe's 2015 production.

“Renovo Motors sought to create an aspirational vehicle that demonstrates the performance, control, and excitement that is possible with EV technology,” said Renovo’s CEO Christopher Heiser. “We have poured our passion and innovation into the Coupe in an effort to deliver a truly amazing driving experience, and we’re honored to present the Production Prototype of our car at the Concours d’Elegance.”
The Coupe is apparently the "fastest of any production rear-wheel drive electric vehicle" and can reach full torque from a dead stop. The mid-mounted twin sequential axial-flux motors offer 500hp at full throttle and the drivetrain gives full power in 37 milliseconds (which is 10 times faster than blinking your eye). The car also has several separate battery enclosures, which help to distribute weight and "minimize chassis volume requirements. The Renovo Motors drivetrain is less than 40% of the total weight of the car, and yet delivers the highest peak power in its class."
Built at the Renovo Motor's facility in Silicon Valley, CA, the coupe will be made in limited quantities for a 2015 release and will target California before expanding nationwide. If you want one, pre-sales are taking place Sunday at Pebble Beach Councours d'Elegance.
