The 2011 Emmy Awards honored television’s brightest stars, but trophies weren’t the only things they took home to revel in their glory. As most of you know, with awards season comes an abundance of gratis gifts, ranging from fashion and beauty items and entertainment access to upscale liquor and travel accommodations.
As JustLuxe’s Sr. Fashion & Beauty Correspondent, I felt it was my duty to make the rounds this weekend to scope out the celebrity swag situation.
The HP TouchSmart Gift Lounge
Located backstage at The Nokia Theater, the HP TouchSmart Gift Lounge was extremely convenient to all of the main festivities and drew the likes of Jane Lynch, Adrian Grenier, John Stamos, Charlie Sheen, Jerry Ferrera, Kerry Washington, Rashida Jones and Christina Hendricks, just to name a few.
Not one to get too caught up with the formality of the evening, Lynch relaxed from hosting the show by playing a mean game of Angry Birds for charity in between segments, while Lea Michele popped by the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Toast Bar to ‘toast’ the new season of Glee. Brunette beauty Minka Kelly snagged the new, ultra extravagant SEDU Icon Prive Hair Dryer (retailing at approximately $700) and Paula Abdul picked up the AMC Theatres Signature Pass, which grants her free movie access for a year.
Maya Randolph got her hands on some stunning Sarah Chloe jewelry and a pair of New Balance’s New Sky sneakers, an impressively lightweight shoe for a girl on the go. As for the men, Kevin Dillon picked out a sleek, black Nautica watch, Cult of Individuality jeans and formal shoes from Ron White.
The HBO Luxury Lounge featuring L’Oreal and Klipsch
Over at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, The HBO Luxury Lounge attracted a myriad of major celebrities like Joe Manganiello, Olivia Munn, Melissa Joan Hart, LL Cool J, Perrey Reeves and plenty more. Munn was the belle of the ball, picking out fabulous designer sunglasses from Solstice Sunglass Boutique, jewels from Sophia Fiori, pretty purses from Brahmin Handbags and more.
L’Oreal Paris was on hand for hair and makeup touch-ups throughout the day and showed a smattering of their latest beauty offerings, while Purity Vodka tempted guests with their ultra-premium liquor. Karina Smirnoff stopped by the Hallmark booth and Jerry Ferrara helped his lady, Alexandra Blodgett, pick out a new pair of wedges from Michael Antonio Shoes.
Los Angeles Confidential Magazine Beauty Suite
The local lifestyle magazine coordinated a pampering party for industry insiders to prepare for the big weekend. Style Bar BH, which impressively offers hair, makeup and nail services all within an hour for under $100, stayed busy all evening offering back-to-back treatments and red carpet beauty tips. Per-fekt Beauty enlightened women with the wonders of their Perfection Gel products, while Fendi gifted guests bottles of their newest fragrance, Fan di Fendi. Bellacures pampered guests with relaxing manicures and Zico kept spirits high and hydrated thanks to their pure coconut water.
Essie Emmys Celebration and Winter Collection Reveal
Celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch hosted an intimate soiree at the Chateau Marmont days leading up to the event to toast the star-studded weekend and reveal the much-anticipated winter collection from essie. Stunning shades of deep blues, soft nudes, matte grays, deep reds and more enticed industry insiders to unwind with a relaxing manicure and rev up for red carpet beauty moments.
