US Airways is making improvements with various in-flight enhancements to make traveling internationally more comfortable and convenient. The revised amenity package begins on May 1, according to the commercial airliner.
"We've invested in improvements that will make international travel for business and leisure customers more comfortable and convenient," said Andrew Nocella, senior VP, marketing and planning, for US Airways. "The enhancements were based on customer and employee feedback and are launching as we resume seasonal summer service to 10 European cities and begin new service to Sao Paulo, Brazil."
Passengers flying in the economy cabin will receive complimentary headsets on flights to and from Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Additionally, customers will also receive a complimentary fine-wine selection with their meal on those flights.
US Airways will launch its Envoy program in July, which aims to enhance their international business class. The airline has teamed with Red Flower, a New York-based, eco-friendly beauty and lifestyle brand, to provide special amenity kits to go along with this new program.
"As a world traveler, it brings me great joy and excitement to see Red Flower partnered with US Airways," says Red Flower founder Yael Alkalay. "Red Flower is a trendsetter in beauty and wellness, drawing inspiration from curative global traditions and the potent force of nature. We share our mission of creating extraordinary experiences with US Airways. Through this partnership, we hope to enhance and bring a sense of comfort, well-being and a lift of energy and spirit while traveling the skies."
Earlier this month, the airline expanded its DineFresh offering, which is a premium chilled meal option paired with a fine wine. The program has been available since last August, but only on transatlantic flights departing from Philadelphia, Penn., and Charlotte, N.C..
