Social media tracker Klout, a web-based service that rewards users for its online activities with high-end goods and electronics such as Window phones, recently announced its partnership with Cathay Pacific Airways. Now, individuals with an enabled Klout iPhone app and a Klout score of 40 will have access to the VIP Cathay Pacific lounge at San Francisco’s International Airport. Scores are based on how much those plugged into the service influence the social media world. Subscribers do not have to have to be in possession of a first, business, or even a Cathay Pacific Airways ticket—as long as they have the “klout,” entry will be granted. The luxury airline's VIP lounge is the only one in the country and features computer workstations, free WiFi, shower suites, a bar, and a noodle restaurant by Dan dan mien. The app is free to download, but Cathway Pacific is hoping that the experience will hook flyers into visiting the lounge again and spreading the world about its luxury accommodations.
