It looks like Winona Ryder is in the middle of a fashion comeback. Last year the ‘90s superstar was the face of Rag & Bone’s Fall/Winter 2014/2015 campaign and earlier this year she joined Cher, Christy Turlington and a slew of other celebs in the Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 campaign. This month she’s been named the face of Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2016 beauty line. Jacobs “leaked” the photo yesterday on his Instagram, praising the beauty and talent of his longtime friend. “No one I know could exude the adjectives I've listed as perfectly as Winona does... She does not model the look she gets into the role—and exudes it! A brilliant mind, talent, and physical beauty like no other.”
In the new ad, shot by David Sims with makeup by Diane Kendal, Ryder poses against a mirrored glass in a dramatic cat eye and nude lip inspired by the 1961 film Last Year At Marienbad. She wears Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayons in Blacquer and (Big)Eyes!, and New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in Strange Magic. The shot will appear in digital and print next year and will be accompanied by a digital short that will appear on Marc Jacobs Beauty this spring. The new collection will hit stores February 2016 and will be available exclusively at Sephora and Marc Jacobs.
