Since taking up the position as creative director for Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière has been creating stunning campaigns for every ready-to-wear collection he’s designed. Series 1 was released for Fall/Winter 2014-2015 with videos from Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber. Earlier this year Series 2 was released for Spring/Summer 2015 with work from the same three photographers. Series 3 has just been released for Fall/Winter 2015-2016 and will feature work from Weber and Teller.
The Teller shoot took place at a private home in Barcelona and starred Jennifer Connelly, Liya Kebede, Fernanda Ly, Angel Rutledge, and new face to the brand, Swedish actress Alicia Vikander. It was a pop-driven, modern look at the collection, while Weber’s film offered a more cinematic and historic approach. Filmed in black and white, models Freja Beha Erichsen, Rianne von Rompaey and Julia Merkelbach ran around on an old airfield in Miami, representing the brand’s roots in travel.
