Karla Spetic graduated from the Sydney Fashion Design Studio in 2006 and only two years later was showing her first collection at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
The fashion world took notice right away and she was even nominated as a finalist for Best Up and Coming Designer in the Prix de Marie Claire awards in 2009.
Her pieces are worn and sold all over the world with commercial retailers in New York, Australia, Dubai, Auckland, and Jakarta stocking her merchandise. There is a definite minimalist approach to her garments with a little bit of playful, flirty touches.
Her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection sees a great mix of simple silhouettes with pops of yellows, pinks, red as well as animal and graphic prints.
Sheer hoop skirts are layered over 50s style undergarments and wool coats and overalls are paired with bold prints. Most of the pieces are ready to wear by the average woman to work, a party, or just out shopping. The best part about this collection is that so many of the garments are easily mixed and matched.
Leopard print pants easily pair with an off the shoulder yellow top or red, long sleeved V neck. There are enough neutrals and prints to dress a modern, fun-loving woman for any occasion. Go to KarlaSpetic.com to see more.
