Here are some of the area's new attractions and experiences that people will not want to miss:
• The Island in Pigeon Forge — This hip hot spot is located in the foothills of Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Guests can stroll around the 23 acres of property, filled with places to shop, dine, and be entertained. Be sure to grab a spot on the Observation Wheel, providing a beautiful bird's-eye view of the area. Add a bit of history and mystery to the stop by visiting Alcatraz East Crime Museum, where guests learn about some of the most infamous crime sprees in history and the ins and outs of crime detection. Don't forget to take a jail cell mugshot while strolling through.
• Smokey Mountain Alpine Coaster – With the second largest downhill track in the country, this coaster is one that visitors do not want to miss. Riders will take in gorgeous views while channeling their inner thrill seeker. This is an experience that people of most ages will enjoy.
• Pigeon Forge Snow - Many visitors do not live in snowy climates but want that perfect snow day. They can get it right here, all year long. The indoor snow park provides opportunities for tubing and playing, and yes, it's all real snow. There are no age or height restrictions for playing in the snow, so that families can have an arctic blast together.
• Titanic Museum Attraction – Millions loved the movie; now they can see it come to life. Take a picture on the grand staircase, see a replica of the famous ship, and check out the new multimillion-dollar movie exhibit that will transport guests to the world of the RMS Titanic.
• WonderWorks Pigeon Forge - Families of all ages will have fun exploring the many updated exhibits at the place known for being an upside-down house. • Dollywood - No trip to the area would be complete without checking out the latest and greatest at Dollywood. Recent updates to the amusement park include a new roller coaster, additions to the museum, and a resort that opened in 2023.

The museum features over 100 exhibits and interactives and four temporary exhibit spaces, with many famous items on display, including Al Capone’s rosary, Ted Bundy’s dental molds, and Charles Manson’s acoustic guitar. Alcatraz East Crime Museum has updated its board of crime experts, which includes Derwin Bradley, a retired master police officer; James R. Knight, a crime writer; Robin Maynard, a certified crime scene investigator in Florida; Derek Newport, a law enforcement veteran who worked for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for 20 years; and Judge Belvin Perry, Jr., who presided over the notorious case against Casey Anthony, among others.
