As many travelers plan their visit to the 57th annual Venice Art Biennale this summer, there is one art exhibit that should be made note of. In partnership with The Farkash Gallery, Israeli artst Ariela Wertheimer will be making her debut at the event, which begins May 13th. While Ariela has previously displayed her pieces at various showings, this will be the artist’s first time showcasing her work at the world-renowned art exhibition in Venice.
Ariela will present her awe-inspiring Jaffa Venice Light Boxes, curated by renowned collector Aaron Farkash of Tel Aviv. The light boxes are designed through the combination of metal, lighting, photographs, painting and print on plexiglass. This innovative use of artistic elements creates a series of works and portraits of spectacularly depicted people in light boxes.
Along with her other works, these light boxes are “optic experiences of a visual system, giving the onlooker a humane and personal experience which doesn’t allow any room for indifference,” said Ariela Wertheimer. Ariela’s solo exhibition will be located at the Palazzo Mora in the “Personal Structures” area and will be hosted by the European Cultural Center. Visitors will be able to experience Ariela’s work for the entirety of the 2017 Biennale, from May 13, 2017 through November 26, 2017.
