Not all Italian restaurants were created equally. Just ask the folks at Papa Razzi Metro.
The Burlington, Massachusetts location takes on a different form from the standard restaurant concept. Here, they pay homage to the simple, sweet life suggestive in Italian philosophy. Fresh simple ingredients are the name of the game here sourced locally and from Italy. Standouts include a salumi bar, house-made pastas, and authentic Neapolitan-style pizza made by a certified Pizzaiolo.
We recently visited the busy Italian restaurant located north of Boston for dinner. The restaurant is well known for its salami so we had to try the classic board filled with freshly sliced meats and cheeses. The beef and sausage meatballs are made with an addicting pomodoro sauce with roasted garlic ricotta for extra flavor and comes with a side of grilled bread for dipping.
Be sure to share a Neapolitan pizza(the forest mushrooms is our favorite made with fresh mozzarella and truffle scented ricotta) before delving into the main events. The house made rigatoni Bolognese made with pork, veal and beef is a classic staple that delivers just as the hearty chicken parmigiana does, but a real standout dish here is the flavor filled basil rigatoni made with pulled chicken, shitake mushrooms, tomatoes and roasted garlic butter sauce.
For dessert, don’t miss the fun cookie “smash” that our server, Michele, recommended. A massive biscotti like cookie is broken into smaller pieces for sharing---the perfect ending to an enjoyable dining experience.
