In case you haven’t heard, controversial supermodel Naomi Campbell is following Tyra Banks’ footsteps and will be launching a a modeling reality show called, The Face.
So what other industry names will be on the upcoming show? So far it’s designers Marc Jacobs and Zac Posen making appearances. We aren’t sure to what capacity or role the designers will play, but a source told Page Six that they'd both been approached about involvement.
This development comes after the announcement that Coco Rocha and Karolina Kurkova are confirmed as cast members.
The show, scheduled to air in 2013, follow the three women fashion recruiters as they search for the next models of the runway, looking all over United States to create their own model teams. After hand-picking their selection, the three supermodels will guide their own team through challenges like runway shows, photo shoots, and commercials. The motivation for winning the competition will be a contract signing as a brand ambassador for a well-known company.
Rocha dished in her blog: "Naomi, Karolina and I will be introducing the girls to some of the very best photographers, stylists and designers in the fashion world […] As mentors to the girls we hope to impart valuable lessons and skills that will help them through their challenges, giving them an accurate idea of what it takes to have a career as a model and be the face of a brand."
And it will be no other than Nigel Barker to host The Face, who left his position as a judge on America’s Next Top Model last year.
