Alfa Romeo founded on June 24, 1910
To quote Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson, "every real driver has to have owned an Alfa Romeo." The legendary marque was originally founded in Milan in 1910 as A.L.F.A., an abbreviation of Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili. Eventually it would become the name we know and love today, establishing a storied racing heritage along the way that began in 1911 at the Targa Florio. In 1920, the Torpedo 20-30 HP became the first vehicle to be badged as an Alfa Romeo car, becoming the ancestor of a distinguished line of beautiful, sexy and very fast cars leading up to the newest models, the gorgeous 4C Coupe, 4C Spider and the all-new Giulia.
