The new Marriott Marquis DC opening on May 1 has announced their five dining and entertainment options. Each establishment will offer its own experience, accompanied by Americana-inspired menu options and serving the freshest ingredients from local sources including their own rooftop garden. The vision behind these culinary delights is Executive Chef and DC-native Chef Matthew Morrison.

Washington Convention Center, Marriott Marquis' diverse dining and nightlife options will cater to seasoned business travelers and discerning visitors, as well as our valued meeting planners. With three restaurants boasting street entrances, we anticipate becoming a favorite amongst local residents exploring the rejuvenated downtown area."
The hotel will boast three ground-level bars: The Dignitary, High Velocity, and the Lobby Bar, and two full-dining restaurants, Anthem and a specialty restaurant (TBA). The Dignitary offers a 1920s, prohibition speakeasy concept with walls covered in dark, rich woods and seats in low and intimate red leather club chairs. Inside, a red brick bar, antique cash register, tin roof, and grand fireplace all make for a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. While enjoying a date night or rewinding after work, indulge in one of the hand-crafted cocktails and a bite from the small plates menu indoors or on the outdoor patio.
At High Velocity, an energetic restaurant and bar for sports fans, the 36 flat-screen TVs, floor-to-ceiling windows, and 48 beers on tap make for a great place to catch a game with friends. The menu includes bar items and samplers for both lunch and dinner. The Lobby Bar is amidst all of the action under the hotel’s glass atrium. Guests may enjoy quick eats and conversation or can check out the 56-foot sculpture designed by sculptor Rodney Carroll.
Anthem offers a bright, diner-like atmosphere with old classics and good old fashioned comfort food on its menu. Guests can expect root beer floats, burgers and a breakfast buffet. As Marriott is currently in the process of perfecting its concept for the specialty restaurant, more will be unveiled.
