World-renowned German company, Leica Camera Inc, is opening a new retail concept in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. located at 977 F Street, NW. The new Leica store will be a haven for professional photographers and photography enthusiasts alike and will feature Leica’s full line of photography and sport optics product portfolio. The store is also equipped with an area for demonstration and workshops aimed to help professional photographers learn about new products, such as the exceptional Leica S-System, and their functions as well as educate other consumers, helping to deepen photography knowledge.
On May 2nd and 3rd Leica Camera will host a special two day event to celebrate the Washington, DC. opening, which will include a cocktail hour as well as a gallery showing featuring the work of photojournalist Peter Turnley. Turnley will also be presenting a lecture entitled, “Peter Turnley: Moments of the Human Condition,” which will not only cover his work but provide intimate details behind how images affect social views of world history.
