On July 11th Portland's country loving populace will get a taste of Denver – the band, not the city – at the Aloft. Of course, Portland's reputation as the hipster capital of the world will probably make for an interesting scene as the charmingly south meets the unrelenting Portland culture, but who knows, perhaps a synergy of atmospheres will make something magical happen?
For the second year in a row, Paste is partnering with Aloft Hotels to host live sessions from up-and-coming artists in cities all over the country. Yes, the title may be a bit confusing, but country-influenced band Denver is set to perform at the Aloft location in Portland, Ore. on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m. Come out and be a part of this special video recording session.
The band originated with Birger Olsen, Mike Elias and Tom Bevitori (of Alela Diane’s Wild Divine) and has seen a rotating cast of stellar musicians playing backup, including Blitzen Trapper’s Eric Earley and Michael Van Pelt.
