 Image via joburg.org.za After a visit to the city from both Botswana's National Library and the National Library of South Africa, Johannesburg's libraries were praised as “extremely” impressive, with a promising standard of programs and opportunities provided by the first class system. Such high praise is very rare, and speaks volumes about the citywide system.
The Botswana’s National Library and the National Library of South Africa were impressed with the high standard of programmes offered by the City’s libraries during their recent visit.
The City’s Library and Information Services Directorate hosted their Botswana and National Library of SA counterparts on the 21 May 2013; with the tour of libraries starting at the Library Services Offices on Solomon Street in Braamfontein. The library’s senior staff gave a brief overview of how the City’s Library and Information Services Operates.
