KVUE Austin, Texas has one of the safest communities in the nation says the recent crime numbers that the FBI has churned up. For the second consecutive year round rock has been named the second safest with a population of at least 100,000 in Texas.
ROUND ROCK -- The latest crime numbers from the FBI once again show Round Rock as one of the safest cities in the country. While customers at the Krave wine bar and bistro enjoyed lunch, city leaders were busy digesting Round Rock's lofty rankings, recently released in the CQ Press Crime in Metropolitan America for 2013.
CQ's findings show, for the second consecutive year, Round Rock ranked as the second safest among Texas cities with a population of at least 100,000. "When you ask people what they're interested in safety is always at the very top of the list," said Round Rock Mayor Alan McGray. "It doesn't matter how much money you make or anything.
