It may or may not have been an alien space craft that drew them away from the crash near Brisbane, but it can reliably said that it was probably the alcohol that brought the two inebriated men into the incident in the first place. Two men, who walked away from a car crash on the back roads around Wivenhoe Dam, claimed to be chasing an alien space craft when found by police.

Police and the driver's insurance company received several sketchy phone calls from the men, who appeared to be convinced "something paranormal" caused the crash west of Brisbane.

Police received the first call from the men at 2.25am Friday, saying they had been in an accident at Split Yard Creek and asked for the RAAF to attend.
