Singapore's signature nightclub Zouk opened in 1991 and has been racking up the accolades every year since including being named one of the Top 100 Clubs in the World by DJ Mag from 2008-2012, as well as a five-time winner of Nightspot of the Year by Singapore Tourism Board. Zouk consists of three separate clubs - Zouk, Phuture, and Velvet Underground - and a wine bar, with the main space consistently spinning techno and house music. Phuture is an exclusive venue, but a bit more casual than the rather risqué Velvet Underground, which is split into two different experiences: Velvet Underground Lounge and Velvet Underground Dance. Its international fame has brought in big names like Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, the Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream along with eight resident DJs who always keep the partying going into the early morning hours.
