The 2016 Singapore Grand Prix is shaping up to be one of the hottest weekends for music and race car driving fans this fall. A stellar lineup of performers that ranges from dance to old school funk and rock has been announced for the weekend of September 16-18. Queen + Adam Lambert and Kylie Minogue will headline the event which also features KC and The Sunshine Band, Bastille and Pentatonix.
This annual, three-day concert (last year welcomed Bon Jovi and Maroon 5) takes place around the Formula One races at the Marina Bay Street Circuit that overlooks downtown Singapore. This year, things are expected to be bigger and bolder. The stage has been reset so there’s optimal viewing from any angle. And super screens have been installed so you can view the shows throughout the park. These screens will also show the races for an in your face spectacle!
On Friday, KC and the Sunshine band kick off the affair with an opening set before the Formula One Practice 2 session. Minogue headlines at the Padang Stage later that evening. Queen + Adam Lambert take the stage on Saturday night with Bastille as their special guest. The weekend rounds out with a final headlining act for Sunday night that has yet to be announced.
