Singapore will be getting a tasty new addition at the Marina Bay Sands later this year. Wolfgang Puck is opening the first Asian outlet of his famous Spago restaurant on the 57th level of the Sands’ SkyPark Tower 2. Taking over the space that once belonged to The Club, the hotel’s dessert lounge, the new restaurant will be the second Puck-run eatery in the hotel, the first being his popular Cut steakhouse. The new restaurant will be serving the same Californian cuisine that the Spago chain has been known for since its first location opened in 1982.
During Singapore’s Epicurean Market, diners will be treated to a sneak peek of Spago’s world famous cuisine before the restaurant is officially open. The three-day event, taking place from August 14 to 16, will showcase dishes from celebrity chef-owned restaurants including Adrift, Bread Street Kitchen, Cut, DB Bistro & Oyster Bar, Long Chim, Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza, Sky on 57, Spago and Waku Ghin. This will be the first year that Wolfgang Puck’s Spago and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen are participating.
