If you have never been to San Diego, the above short film is probably going to give you some major wanderlust. And if you actually live in the So-Cal city, it will fill you with pride and give you a new appreciation for everything SD has to offer. Artist Simone Lucchini spent two weeks in the city, recording footage using a GH4 Panasonic with lumix 12-35mm, which he later paired with music from The Cinematic Orchestra and named Frames of San Diego. The video captures some pretty iconic spots and activities, like the wild seals at Children’s Pool, the Unconditional Surrender kissing statue, wandering historical Old Town, checking out the food in downtown and of course the beaches—so many beaches!
When you visit (and we know you will now) you may want to stay where the action is and book a room at The US Grant, which just so happens to be in the Gaslamp Quarter. Staying there means you’ll be in the middle of the trendiest hotspots, like The Nolan, a new rooftop bar and lounge that gives insane views.
