While big names take the stage during Fashion Week in New York, London, Milan and Paris, there are smaller, more intimate runway events happening all over the world. Fashion Week San Diego, a biannual presentation, is a local “launching pad” for emerging designers that draws in crowds from all over the Southern California area. On March 14, FWSD will be holding their second annual Spring Showcase at Harrah’s Resort Southern California. Here, Fall 2015 designers will be announced, while over 2,000 guests enjoy music, art, shopping, food, raffles, shows, a photo booth, spa services from Harrah’s and a beauty lounge serviced by Bellus Academy.
For fashion mavens who are looking to discover the newest and brightest style stars before they hit it big (so you can say you knew them way back when), take a sneak peek at the collections before they take to the runway or enjoy a little one-on-one time with the designers. For those interested in the how-to of design there will be live demos from the FWSD 2014 and 2015 brand Responsive Textiles. At the end of the event, the FWSD 2015 location and show list will be announced. Attendance is free but space is limited. Reservations are strongly recommended.
