With Restaurant Week returning to San Diego this September, it’s prudent to get up-to-date with all the specials cropping up in celebration of the popular event. This year the Aventine La Jolla, an 11 acre luxury lifestyle and business complex that houses the AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency hotel as well as several restaurants and health clubs, will be offering four exclusive menus. Savor seafood, steak, fondue and Asian fusion during the week-long culinary extravaganza. Aventine’s Truluck, Melting Pot, Fleming’s, and Café Japengo will provide specials on their signature dishes. Enjoy seared jumbo scallops, Thai chicken salad, and pan fried bread pudding among other popular bites at Café Japengo—an entire meal for only $40.
The Melting Pot, famous for their cheese, entrée, and dessert course fondues will expand their offerings to include unique flavor combinations, like the Wisconsin Trio Cheese and Boston Lager Cheddar Cheese Fondue. Delicate seasonings and spices flavor Truluck’s seafood menu, such as the salmon béarnaise and crab-crusted Norwegian whitefish, while Fleming’s is cooking up hearty dishes of petite filet mignon alongside creamed spinach and parmesan-peppercorn mashed potatoes. This year Aventine is partnering with Uber, a cashless car service which runs through smartphone apps.
New Uber users who visit the Aventine restaurants during the week-long event will offer a typically-priced $30 dollar ride for free. Cruise in a Lincoln Town Car or Mercedez-Benz sedan by signing into the app using the promotion code provided by Aventine. To how to savor this delicious week in San Diego visit Aventine.com.
