Philadelphia Restaurants: Le Bec-Fin's exquisite French cuisine has been a Philadelphia institution since 1970. The interior (completely renovated in 2002) is reminiscent of a 19th Century Parisian dining salon.
The restaurant offers a variety of menu options, including nine-course, six-course, and four-course dinners, and three- and five-course lunches. If you're looking for a slightly less formal but still luxurious atmosphere, Le Bar Lyonnais, located on the first floor of the restaurant, serves traditional bistro fare from the same kitchen as Le Bec-Fin, as well as an a la carte menu. And what would a French restaurant be without fine dessert creations? Dessert lovers can choose from a wide array of delectable tarts, cakes and other fine desserts crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Cedric Barberet. The restaurant's signature cake is the Gâteau Le Bec-Fin, a rum-soaked genoise with chocolate mousse.
