In Paris, built on the former grounds of the royal stables in front of The Louvre, sits the Hotel Regina. The property was originally inaugurated for the World’s Fair in Paris in 1900 and has been one of the most luxurious and iconic Parisian hotels for over 100 years. So it stands to reason that it was time for a facelift. Over the last year the hotel has been undergoing full renovations in every room while the restaurants, bars and façade received much-needed upgrades. Guests can now expect to find not only stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and a glimpse into France’s architectural history, but also all the comforts of home like air conditioning, soundproofed walls and perhaps most importantly—high-speed Wi-Fi.
Re-launching this month, each of the hotel’s 100 rooms and suites have been individually designed with complete overhauls in the interiors and bathrooms. Antique pieces in both the rooms and public spaces will be restored to their former glory as the design will remain traditional to reflect the history of the hotel. Renovations also include the use of rich, warm tones, Pierre Frey and Nobilis textiles, and bathroom amenities from the French perfume house, Fragonard.
