There are some exciting new restaurants participating in Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week, starting on May 31 to June 9, 2024. For 10 fabulous foodie intense days, participating restaurants throughout the Coachella Valley are offering special multi-course lunch, brunch and dinner menus at a set price.
One of the newest restaurants in Palm Springs is Alice B., by James Beard and Julia Child award-winning chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken. These 'Too Hot Tamales' are the first celebrity chefs to open a restaurant in the Coachella Valley.
Combining Southern California’s incredible seasonal bounty with vibrant Mediterranean flavors, the culinary vision is a collaborative effort between Feniger, Milliken, and acclaimed Executive Chef Lance Velasquez. The inspiration for the brunch and dinner menus evolve from the local produce of this summer season.
Located near downtown Palm Springs, Alice B., is tucked inside the lobby of Living Out, a luxury resort-style LGBTQ+ community surrounded by spectacular desert and mountain views.
The staff at Alice B., Palm Springs' elegant mid-century modern style bar and restaurant welcome guests warmly into the lounge, dining room. and al fresco dining terrace. Guests sitting at the bar and lounge have the opportunity to listen to live music on select evenings around a baby grand piano. Select a classic cocktail, glass of wine or spirit-free beverage while taking in the sophisticated and fun vibe.
The Chefs cookbooks are on display for guests to purchase and replicate some of the award-winning recipes at home.
During Restaurant Week, the Brunch menu is available for $35 per person. Diners can select the biscuit of the day with butter and seasonal jam, market fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, and a brioche French Toast or a Breakfast burrito.
The $59 Restaurant Week Dinner includes either two Cornmeal Cheddar Drop Biscuits with cardamom honey, or a Kenter Farms Baby Lettuce Salad with fried bread parmigiano reggiano, or a bowl of Spring Carrot and Ginger Soup. Entrees are a choice of Mendoza Farms Spiced Cauliflower and Eggplant, or Seared Salmon with Kohlrabi remoulade and Arbequina olive almond relish or a Mary's Seeded Chicken Cutlet with an apple radish slaw.
Finish with Tahini Ice Cream with chocolate sauce and crispy sesame seed clusters or Seasonal Sorbet with a Pistachio Sugar Cookie or Chocolate Cake with Luxardo cherries and whipped creme fraiche.
Inspired by the extraordinary life of Alice B. Toklas and her life partner Gertrude Stein, the restaurant establishes a welcoming space for all to enjoy a vibrant culinary experience among colorful art and design. Portraits of Alice and Gertrude anchor the dining room, yet the restaurant rotates this art as a tribute to the duo’s creative legacy. Many of the featured pieces were created by local female and LGBTQ+ artists.
FUN FACT: Last month in April, Living Out posted on their Facebook page that former First Lady Michelle Obama and actress Rita Wilson had dinner at Alice B. This restaurant is the talk of the town and on everyone's wish list.
For a fun foodie overnight getaway, Agua Caliente Casinos in Rancho Mirage is offering a special dineGPS menu at Waters Cafe. This luxurious Forbes four-star resort has three restaurants participating in dineGPS. Besides Waters Cafe, guests can also dine at 360 Sports and The Steakhouse.
Waters Cafe is offering a three-course delicious dinner that includes an elevated fresh green salad or savory soup, plus a choice of two hearty entrees, before finishing with a delicious apple crumble tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel glaze.
This special meal during Restaurant Week is $39 per person.
Fun Fact: Inside Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage is Java Calinete. They make and sell the best chocolate chip 'everything' cookie in Greater Palm Springs. Their coffees, teas, healthy smoothies and protein shakes are also worth a stop while at the resort.
Life House Palm Springs recently opened in November, 2023 and is getting quite a buzz in the community. Step back into a reimagined 1960s mid-century celebrity hideaway with new modern touches. Inside is another newer restaurant to open and participate in this year's Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week.

The award-winning Café 54 inside the Augustine Casino in Coachella is offering a great Restaurant Week dinner deal for $35. Chef Victor Ruiz is preparing an elevated three-course menu that begins with an Iceberg salad topped with bay shrimp and Chef Victor's delicious vinaigrette dressing. Diners can also select instead a cup of his carrot and ginger soup.
The main entree is an 8 ounce Oscar style top-sirloin steak with Dauphine potatoes and vegetables. Finish with strawberries with crème anglaise sauce. Chef Victor formerly was a chef at Morton's Steakhouse, not only is he an expert at grilling steaks, he enjoys preparing memorable culinary experiences for his diners.
FUN FACT: Augustine Casino built Tamalpakh Farms honoring the Cahuilla Tribe. There are 19 tribe members, 12 are adults and three are tribal leaders. Together they are committed to create a sustainable lifestyle for residents in the Coachella Valley. Their 25,000 solar panels farm supplies enough electricity for the Augustine Casino, tribal headquarters, and the farm. They use undergroud water aquifers and retention ponds to water their crops. Residents can order seasonal farm produces boxes and shop for the freshest produce at the farm market.
By participating in Restaurant Week and making your reservations online, and OpenTable will donate $1 to FIND Food Bank, a local organization that distributes 10+ million pounds of food annually across Greater Palm Springs.
This year there are more prix-fixe menu options and an exclusive special offer only available during Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants offer a special two-courses brunch and lunch menus starting at $15. There are many offering a three-course or more dinner menu starting at a set price of $39, $49 and $59. Prices and meal periods vary by restaurant and exclude beverages, tax, and gratuity.
The beauty of dineGPS is there are no passes, tickets or coupons required. You simply make a reservation on the website or call the participating restaurant directly. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins guests are welcomed and will be accommodated if space permits.
This annual event is followed immediately by the Summer Eats Mobile Dining Discount Pass starting on June 10, offering special dining discounts all summer long. Explore Greater Palm Springs nine-city oasis that includes Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and Indian Wells.
