It looks like Christian Grey’s apartment is officially off the market and we aren’t surprised at all to find out that soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo was the one who snatched it. According to the Daily Mail, the 2,509-square-foot loft that reportedly inspired Fifty Shades of Grey can be found in New York’s Trump Tower and apparently cost the 30-year-old athlete $18.5 million. Considering Forbes lists him as the 10th richest celebrity in the world and the highest-paid football player (that’s soccer to us yanks), the price tag seems like chump change.
Though the three-bedroom home’s previous owner was Italian real-estate tycoon and Trump business partner Alessandro Proto, we have a feeling it will be seeing a lot more parties very soon. After all, the Real Madrid star is reportedly single after splitting with Irina Shayk earlier in the year. Why else would someone buy the ultimate bachelor pad? I guess we will have to get an invite if we want to find out if the Red Room is there…
