Sorry, buyers, if you were hoping to live in the highest penthouse in NYC, you are now out of luck. According to the Daily Mail, the $95M residence at 432 Park Avenue in Manhattan was purchased by Fawaz Alhokair, a Saudi Arabian billionaire.
Featuring six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the 8,255-square-foot, full-floor condo sits at the top of a 1,396-feet tall building, considered to be the tallest rooftop real estate. Along with 10-foot-by-10-foot windows, the penthouse also boasts a wood-burning fireplace and heated bathroom floors. According to Forbes, Alhokair's net worth is $1.37 billion, which he made as founder of the Fawaz Alhokair Group, a company that focuses on the retail and real estate business sectors.
“The fashion retail sector across its 16 countries now operates more than 2,100 stores representing more than 80 international brands. The real estate division of the Group presently operates a network of 16 shopping malls, managing over 1.6 million square meters of prime retail real estates,” reads the group’s website.
As of today, the most expensive condo sale in New York City was for $100.5 million for a penthouse at One57. Once finalized, this purchase could make the list at No. 2. Those interested in real estate within 432 Park Avenue can still buy one of two penthouses currently on the market. Their price tags are at $76.5M and $81M.
