Luxury properties in New York City are selling well at some locations in the city. An example of just how well how is indicative by the sales reported by a luxury high-rise condominium community in the Upper East Side called 200 East 79th Street. The word from the company is that the development is 50 percent sold in its first month to market. The price for condos available for sale in the upscale vertical community start at $3.9 million.
“We are thrilled by the early success of 200 East 79th Street,” said Orin Wilf, president of Skyline Developers. “We are meeting the area’s strong demand for large new homes that are in keeping with the neighborhood’s aesthetic. And we anticipate that sales will remain strong.”
Cetra Ruddy is the architectural and interior design firm responsible for the look of the swanky condominiums that range from 1,920 to 5,100 square feet. The floor plans include three-, four, and five-bedrooms. There also are private terraces located at the upper portion of the building for outdoor socializing and get-togethers.
The condominiums include eat-in kitchens, dining rooms, family rooms, large entertainments spaces, laundry rooms, and ample closets and storage space. Amenities in the deluxe property include a gymnasium, an all-purpose court with a basketball hoop, a ping-pong table, a yoga area, and a ballet barre. There also is a lounge for residents, which opens to a landscaped terrace with private seating and an overhead pergola.
“This building is a true standout in the market,” said Alexa Lambert, executive VP of Stribling Marketing Associates. She also said that buyers and brokers are responding well to [the property’s] unique combination of classic design choices, layouts, first-class amenities and modern services.
