Tipitinas

It takes a legendary performer for people to realize the need for a venue in their honor, and such is the case at Tipitina's. Paying tribute to Professor Longhair, who composed many of the songs that are now part of the fabric of New Orleans, Tipitina's was originally founded by a group of fans who wanted to give the artist a place to play.

The locals call this place their favorite and Tip's for short, and with two levels, a capacity of 1,000, and a location on a famous street corner it's a sure bet for a real glimpse of the city's culture.
