If you’ve ever wanted to live the life of a celebrity A-lister, now is your chance. NOLA lovers Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are putting their French Quarter mansion on the market for $6.5 million. Listed with Latter & Blum, the 1830’s, 7,645-square-foot home boasts five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a separate two-story guest house and high-profile neighbors like Matthew McConaughey.
Unfortunately the listing provides no interior shots of the home (and prospective buyers that are allowed inside are forbidden from taking photographs), but it seems that the Pitt-Jolie crew has given the property their personal touch. Updated details include custom-designed marble mantles and fireplaces, crown moldings, Venetian plastered walls, a grand spiral staircase, and an elevator. You could almost say that Angelina Jolie was your interior designer. Other features include a chef’s gourmet kitchen with a double oven, a patio and pool area, and laundry room.
Pitt and Jolie may be listing their home, but it seems that they won’t be moving too far. Pitt’s manager confirms in a statement that they will be staying in the area, but relocating to “something off the beaten path.” The two have been deeply involved in the city’s Lower Ninth Ward since Pitt began the Make It Right foundation in 2007 after seeing the delay in rebuilding the area after Hurricane Katrina.
