L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles recently underwent a $20-million room renovation project that was completed this month with an announcement at a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony. The ceremony unveiled 754 newly upgraded rooms, including new suites and amenities in the first phase of the project. Phase two will commence in September to complete the remaining 246 rooms and suites.
"These rooms were designed with a focus on guest comfort with a unique blend of casual elegance and world class amenities," said Keith W. Henson, L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles Senior Vice President and General Manager. "Coupled with top-name entertainment, non-stop gaming action, boutique shopping and award-winning dining, this extensive hotel renovation continues our focus on creating memorable experiences at L'Auberge."
Offering elegance and comfort, the new rooms are filled with first-class amenities like oversized flat panel televisions, floor to ceiling windows, luxury bedding, and plush carpeting. With the renovations came the addition of two new room categories: Royale and Marquis Suites. These larger, luxury suites overlook the Southwest Louisiana landscape and are decorated with stylish artwork from local artists. For added convenience, these suites come with refrigerators, Keurig brand coffee machines, and complimentary robes and slippers.
"Over four million people come through the doors of L'Auberge each year and we are so excited to be able to offer a product that is the best of the best," said Henson.
Opening in 2005 with 750 hotel rooms, the hotel grew in 2008 as it extended with a 250-room tower. The property eventually included suites and private villas to its accommodations to become one of the largest hotels in Louisiana outside of New Orleans.
L’Auberge’s casino is a highlight of the hotel, boasting an enormous glass dome and a grand vaulted ceiling that holds 70 table games and 1,600 slots. Players alike can choose between high-stakes tables, blackjack, or slot machines. For those looking to watch the action instead, globar presents a stylish alternative to gambling, located in the center of the casino, and provides a fun environment for enjoying cocktails among friends.
Sitting on 242 acres of land, the hotel is also comprised of an 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Fazio, two swimming pools, a lazy river, full-service barber shop, salon, spa, dining options and retail stores. Business travelers are also invited to choose among 26,000 gross square feet of meeting and event space as well a full-service business center. Complete renovations are set to debut in the early months of 2014.
