With autumn nearly upon us, Mandarin Oriental, Milan has created two packages for its guests visiting the resort between October 1 and December 21, 2016. Travelers can choose between a wine excursion in Franciacorta or a truffle hunting adventure in Alba.
The former three-night package is located an hour drive from the hotel in the Italian countryside. One of the most productive winemaking areas in Italy, the region boasts award-winning local wines and the five-star L’Albereta, a charming five-star resort on Lake Iseo. Over the course of the trip guests will be able to sample wines from Bellavista and Contadi Castaldi, enjoy fine-dining experiences at both hotels, and have an overnight stay at L’Albereta. The package is priced at USD $2,566 per room.
Foodies can participate in the two-night truffle hunting offer which includes a private guided tour to discover Alba and its best hunting spots. While in Alba, travelers will be treated to a truffle-themed lunch before returning to Mandarin Oriental for dinner at Seta. The menu, created by Michelin-starred Chef Antonio Guida will again boast a truffle-centric cuisine. The package is priced at USD $3,570 per room.
